Looking for pistol and rifle stock plans

Hello!
I picked up a pistol barrel, lock and hardware from the gun maker's fair in PA. I've been aging a black walnut trunk and root base for a couple of years and now it's nice and seasoned dry.
I figure on using the base for a pistol, taking advantage of the natural curve to the root. The trunk I want to use to remake the kit Hawkins I shoot . Problem is with the pistol I have at most two tries to get it right and I'd like to get maybe a template to rough cut to. I my break down and buy a blank to copy, but it seems like a waste of wood.

Hey Vad,
Try Track of the Wolf.
You didn't specify what style pistol you want, but a Hawken pistol sure would go with a Hawken rifle.
