My friend found a Percussion Longrifle with "J Chandler Warranted" stamped on the barrel and the lock has what looks like "Henry Parker Warranted" on the lock. 44" barrel, not sure of caliber but heavy barrel, maybe 1" and around .40 cal. He said it have 5 grooves in the barrel. He is going to do more photos and send me when he returns from Elk Hunting in CO. I knew of one J Chandler that was in Highland County , Ohio that made a lot of muzzleloaders. Anyone have any info on this builder or rifles he built?
Mike

Several "J. Chandler" marked rifles are known, but the maker has not been identified or located. Known Chandler rifles are most closely styled like guns made in Indiana or Illinois. Shelby Gallien
