I have been out of town.
Maybe hit up some of the 18th century artisan shows that include gun and accoutrement builders.
Not sure where you are from but there are 2 coming up in western PA.

Quote from another forum,
"18th C. Artisan Show formerly held in Lewisburg, PA, is coming to a new venue this year: the Carlisle PA Expo Center on February 3rd and 4th."
www.longrifle.com/event/18th-century-artisan-show-lewisburg-pa/

And,
"Sponsored by the Old Westmoreland Rifles-Collectors Show Association. January 27th and 28th, at the Lamplighter Restaurant in Delmont PA."

There are quite a few others. Seeing as you have the coin to spend and don't want to wait, finding a gun at a show or possibly making a connection while there, might be your best course of action.
