Have been an inactive member of the forum for a long time and pretty much away from muzzleloading since my eyesight made iorn sights a hasslle. Started out with a TC .50 kit back in '79. Hunted deer with it for several years, then decided I needed something to hunt squirrels with that left me with some edible meat. Ready-made small calibers were beyond my budget, so I Went to my ML bible (Dixie Gun Works Catalog) and bought all the necessary parts and pieces, except the stock, (I'm a long-time woodworker) and put together my own version of a Tenesee squirrel rifle in .32 cal. which replaced my old .22 for the next 25 years. Somewhere along the way I stopped in at DWG store while enroute to Georgia and bought a smoothbore shotgun barrel in about 20 gauge and last year decided it was about time to do something with it, so I made a lightweight shotgun out of it to try on
squirrels. The post on jug chokes recently caught my attention, so I think I"ll have a try at it. Maybe If I can tighten up the pattern a little, my hunting bag may fatten up a little.
