Reenacting season is open!

Hope to see some great shots from this years events!

From this morning here we are crossing North Bridge in Concord, MA heading in the direction of Lexington. Amalgamated from various groups to portray militia companies from Concord and Acton.

This is so, so cool! I live down in CT and would love to come see something like this. I went to Concord for the first time last summer and it was surreal to be standing there...I felt embarrassed as a New Englander that it was my first time being there. I guess I missed my militia being called up!!

There is an entire FB group dedicated to showing off one's living history/reenacting/rendezvous kits and impressions, as far as I can tell here there is no thread as such going back to threads posted in 2019. If there was and I missed it, shame on me. But lets see what you have in one condensed thread. I've been reenacting off and on since 2006, all based in Massachusetts, which at least for the 18th Century is a hot bed of RevWar reenacting and some excellent historically correct groups. Dabbled a bit in the Civil War but there isn't much to do here without some decent travelling.

Anyways off we go.

Just some random colonial era woodsman bouncing around New England and maybe the Wyoming Valley, skipping around in time between the late 1750s and mid 1770s (and trying to comply with modern day hunter orange regulations.

I do love my matchcoat.
No pics in the field yet of the grey or brown coat pictured on the porch.
Excellent! Wouldn't want to be the target of this shooter!

Indeed! Thank you.

So much information out there in today, the myth of Lexington and Concord combatants, being made up of ruffian farmers dressed in rags couldn't be further from the truth! While there were certainly discrepancies, Massachusetts minit and militia companies were for the most part, well equipped!

32 years Civil War living history.
Portraying a Missouri Brigade Pvt.,Sgt,Lt. and Captain. Now retired from that and doing Pre 1830 living history and shooting. I even had a 19th Century wedding the passion is real.
