Anybody got a line on a decent compact knapping kit for flintlocks? I don't think I'll be cutting new flints from giant rocks. I'm thinking more for dressing up the Flint in the lock. I've seen a couple different kits and it seems like they go from the very bare essentials to the rediculous. What would/do you use?
Thanks in advance,
Neil

The horned toad says we should go to Mexico.
I've watched videos on here on how to pressure flake your flint to get a new edge on it. I'm sure somebody will post a link for you. Cost is next to nothing. I've made mine from antler and copper wire.

I keep a few brass hinge pins around. They"re compact, have a ball on the end and won't create a spark.
