Looking great! Just a note, it's best to square up the wood inlets to fit the pipes, rather than cutting the length down. The tabs do have to be trimmed in height once they are fit, though. Nice work!

Thanks Jim for the compliment. I do believe you and your kits deserve the compliments!

I'm better working metal than wood. I did a bit of each on the pipes install. I did work them for height and touched them a bit up for length maybe a few thousands not much at all. I was more afraid of jacking up the inlet for the pipes so I sparingly worked the stock dusted the end of the pipes with a file. and the fit quite nicely. I read a thread earlier about how someone had issues with the ram rod fitment. Led me to caution on the install of the pipes and ram rod. All in all I think it was well worth the caution of pre fitting everything before burning holes in the pipes for pins

Yeah standard grade maple.

working on finishing a SMR in ash ... building a rusting box (wrong word ... you get the idea) and then i'll try a slow rust blue on the barrel) ... the Kibler kits are far and away the best product out there, and his triggers are better than any i've pulled in some years
