There's a picture of a customer's rifle on the Kibler site that shows their Colonial rifle with a set trigger setup.
Anyone have an idea how that might have been accomplished?

I have a Kibler Colonial that Mike Brooks assembled for me. It has set triggers. The set trigger plate is wider than the single trigger plate. So, he had to put a filler on each side of the trigger plate. Done right and after staining, it is just about invisible. It does add about 1/4" of pull. At least on mine it does. The pull gets added because with the TG inletting already done you have to have room for the back trigger to set, and the back trigger bar to hit the sear.

Do know what particular set trigger was used? Any issues getting it to work with with the lock? I had asked Kibler about using a set trigger setup - he suggested it would be a lot of difficulty to get it to work.

I believe the lock has to have a fly in order to be used with a set trigger. Not sure of the cut off point, but I believe the earlier Colonial locks do not have a fly. My recently purchased Colonial, while I have a single trigger, the lock does have a fly.

My rifle has the earlier Chambers lock. It has a fly. He used that one before he designed his own lock. Since they have to be inlet, any double set triggers will work if they fit the TG.
FYI: I said it backwards. The single trigger plate is shorter but wider than the double set plate. So the inlet has to be lengthened and fillers put in the sides.
I don't know why Kibler would say it was a lot of work. It is no harder than installing triggers in any other rifle.
It was really easy for me. I just wrote Brooks a check. :thumb:

Interested in this myself. Hopefully this thread isn't too old to resurrect, found this while searching for the same thing...

In the video below, they show inletting a double set trigger into a colonial kit, but the manufacturer of the trigger is not identified.

This one is pretty close, but I can spot some minor variations: RE Davis Company | Small Double Set, Double Knife Trigger

Any ideas?

I seriously contemplated putting a set trigger in my Kibler Colonial built last year. After speaking with Jim I decided to try the single. Glad I did. I’m very pleased with its clean, crisp break that’s consistent at 2#.
