just bought a mint condition white mountain carbine in .50 cal this has the fast 1-20 twist. I ordered some no excuse 495 gr in 50 cal. should I use an over the powder oxyoke wad/ what charge would you start with? in all of my .54 and 58s 80 gr pyrodex 2F seems to give good performance and is easy on the shoulder in my white mountain carbine with 80 gr and a 535 gr no excuse recoil is about all I want. all of my night hog set ups are 25 yards or less I generally sight 1 inch high at 25 not much need to shoot past 30 yards as I set up close
