Got this Indian Enfield smoothbore from a Board member . It's in very good shape but I'd like some info on it if anybody here knows about such things.
The markings under the barrel are plain and easy to read but I don't know what some of them stand for. I don't believe any are proof marks. They are below:
AHU LDR india 3dots in a triangle here
I/1844 24/9/92
All this is stamped under the barrel and there are no other stampings anywhere on the gun. Nothing at all That I can see with this smoothbore gun. I'm just curious what the markings mean.
