Just watched the latest Mike Beliveau YouTube video about the Colt Paterson. Mike discussed the young Sam Colt, how the revolver came about, it's historic significance, success and failures, as well as the particulars of loading and firing one. (I was surprised by how young Colt was when he started and how he established manufacturing practices that continued for much of the century.) Most of us know the basics about the Paterson revolver but this was much more informative than most accounts. I liked the demonstrations but also the historic information. It's worth a watch.
