Shot mine yesterday, the 25 with my Jukar 45 Kentucky rifle and the 20 with the CVA Kentucky pistol. I didn't do too bad with the rifle and I hit the paper three times with the pistol. These are the guns that I got for $125 for the pair, so not to complain. Thanks for doing these high pressure contests - it motivates me to get out and shoot when I might not otherwise.

It's July 24th, so if you haven't shot your targets yet there is still time, one weekend and almost a full week to get-er done.

So far I have received targets from:
Bledfor Days
BouseBill
BouseBill - Pistol
cankeney
flinter1977
Grenadier1758
Josephg
leam
Maven
MDK_WV - both acceptable, no problem

We had fourteen shooters last month. I anticipate there will be more this month. Maybe as many as twenty - hopefully.

Just discovered the competition details last week and dug out my old Pennsylvania. It was flint but is noW percussion until I get the sights sorted whereupon it will go back to flint. Thought I had sent the targets to you by another means but I must have failed. Hope you don’t mind me submitting them this way until I find out how to navigate round this site - I only joined recently.
Thank you for organising the comp. Looking forward to more.

It’s August 4th. So far this month we have had 17 shooters submit their targets including a new old shooter from Northern Ireland, our only shooter from outside the U. S. Welcome Robertirvine!

As of now we have 4 shooters in the top three slots, with a tie for second.

If you have sent a target before August 1st but your name isn’t listed above, please contact me. I will post the results of the July Bear Shoot tomorrow – August 5th.

Get your August target made, write your forum screen name on it and get er shot! I would like to have at least 20 shooters participate.

Results for the July bear shoot have been finalized. We had 17 shooters and 3 of those shooters also submitted targets they shot with pistols. Four shooters filled the top 3 slots, with a tie for second. The first table shows the top four for rifle. The second table lists everyone in alphabetical order along with their caliber and load information provided. The third table lists the pistol shooters. I appreciate everyone’s participation. It was a great shoot!

Revised Standing
Judges Error In Original
It has been brought to my attention that I made a major error in reporting scores for the July shoot. I missed it, an oversight on my part pure and simple. I missed the top score when I ran totals so it was an error that changed the overall standing placing Richard Ditman as the top combined score for the rifle shoot. I’m truly sorry for my error and the confusion it has caused. Below are the revised standings.

Results for the July bear shoot have been finalized. We had 17 shooters and 3 of those shooters also submitted targets they shot with pistols. Four shooters filled the top 3 slots, with a tie for third. The first table shows the top four for rifle. The second table lists everyone in alphabetical order along with their caliber and load information provided. The third table lists the pistol shooters. I appreciate everyone’s participation. It was a great shoot!
