Custom one of a kind long rifle by master builder John Bergmann. The gun is number 251 made by him.
It has a 54 caliber, 46 inch swamped and flared barrel by Hoyt with a 1 in 70 twist, AAA grade maple stock with uniform curl from butt plate to nose cap.
Raised relief carving behind cheek rest, paneled lines on cheek rest, raised carving on front of comb, around barrel tang, paneled from toe plate to trigger guard. Raised relief molding panels with tear drop around lock plate and side plate. Raised relief carving around swell at entry pipe, paneling from entry pipe to nose cap.
Metal engraved with designs on toe plate, top of butt plate, side plate, lock plate, hammer, barrel tang and top of barrel. Silver hunter star on cheek rest and 2 smaller ones at pins behind entry swell. John Bergman engraved in top of barrel with designs. Silver heart in wrist. Gun is 99% new or better, mint bore and sparks excellent. One or two very minor handling marks. Asking $6,000. No trades, buyer responsible for shipping costs and insurance if desired. Hi, John checked his records and the rifle was built in early / mid 1990. The date and rifle number are on the bottom barrel flat although I have never removed the barrel.
