GaryPL and I shot the target (for the second time) today. I squeaked out a 51 points total. I was jerkin' them balls off target somethin' fierce.

Crockett .32 cal
20 grains Goex FFFG
home made felt wad lubed with olive oil
.015 patch lubed with Ballistol
Cast .32 cal round ball.

Shot my target yesterday with JakeGA and started out slow on the LH bull but picked up a bit on the RH bull.

Dixie Gun Works .32 cal SMR
30 grains Schuetzen FFFG
felt wad lubed with olive oil
.018 patch lubed with Ballistol/water mix
Cast .310 cal round ball.

Putting the oiled wad under the patched ball increased the number of shots between swabbing the barrel - going to play around with this some more with thinner patching

I'd sure take that target!

It was a beautiful day here in Montana.... but it's definitely winter -10F
This was a great target and the sun was so bright I was actually getting Mirage despite the cold.
Bought new pillow ticking from Jo-ann's and it was thinner. My wheel weight.562's loaded easily with little more than the weight of the rod. I started to blow a few patches towards the end....so I was happy with a 74pt target.

The pie proved a tough target for me. Sure do like this shoot though.

I hope everyone enjoyed the target and the pictures. Participation was good with 15 shooters this month!
February will be a more difficult target - when I printed mine out I noticed how much bigger it looked on my computer screen! Oh well, let's have fun with it.
