Good times on the Ohio River frontier in the 1700's , was having enough seed corn to plant , and enough corn to eat to see the folks through the winter and as well , not having a visit from the Shawnees............oldwood

They really didn’t.

If you caught a disease or even got a simple infection, it could kill you easily. People had to work a ton even just to live a standard day. Everything was harder.
