...here!
It's been grey and dank damp miserable weather here for months but these past two days have been windy and I love it!

Got me two rabbits, one sitting at 25+yards and one running across us about 15 yards.
The running shot just came natural like with good fast ignition from a not so good piece of flint I chipped off some rock! I had to knap it regular just to squeeze a shot or two more from it!
The photo.

The sitter got into cover crippled but Jess got its scent and pushed her way in rapidly and held the rabbit whilst I faced the thick thorn tearing at me whilst I make the retrieve (sometimes I really miss my retrievers or spaniel)!

Satisfied with that I loaded a ball.
Check my picture out in the smoothbore section, there is a thread on regarding smoothbore accuracy!

Love your posts! You sir are a rare breed!

I’m glad I don’t have to go up against you with a muzzle loader Brit! Me thinks you’d be packing my Charleville away as a trophy! Sorry Patriot ancestors, I call ‘em the way I see ‘em!
