I have recently written a paper focusing on the Iroquois during the Beaver Wars, c.1650-1701. This paper is unpublished, simply a grad school course paper, but I thought someone might like it.

Do you write much about the Haudnesaunee communities at the time on the north shore of Lake Ontario?

There‘s a bit in there, but not a huge amount. For some good details, I’d recommend Parmenter or Richter. Jennings is also a good source.

It was an eye-opener for me. I knew the Iroquois were in decline by the mid 1700s due to their ears and from diseases but didn’t know the extent of it. They were between a rock and a hard place no matter what strategy they took. There’s almost nothing left of most Northeastern tribes.
