I am considering buying one of these kits in a Flintlock in 54 Caliber . I currently have the Lyman GPR percussion Version. I have 2 questions:

1. I hate the fishbelly stock and I would like to get rid of that if I do the build . Is there enough wood here to do this . This would probably require changing the transition into the wrist and removing some wood in the trigger guard area making it a little shorter as viewed from the side. Any thoughts

2. also I can't find a 54 cal kit. Got any ideas

I just built one, no fish belly! The .54 is tough to come by, they sell out fast. Muzzle Loader ,com has botht he Investarm and the Pedersoli version. Check and see if they have a .54. It changes every day!
