Luckily we have the CBC, the state gov't broadcaster showing 24/7 chinese olympics....

It's not that bad, we have satellite....200+ channels and we watch 3 of them...Cowboy Channel, RFD-TV and TCM.... 
I watched it last night not a bad show.
Last night was the John Colter story..
The show will feature a different mountain man/ Longhunter story each week.

I enjoyed it as well. Much better than the standard fair. Mr. Colter was/is an impressive individual.

Story is mostly accurate. The "stars" of the show are wearing nice, new outfits. The extras (which I assume are re-enactors) outfits are aged and well worn.

Thanks for sharing it. Fun to watch. I just wish they would use period saddles and horse gear in these, but cost is always a factor in budgets for these shows. Still, it's great that they are telling the stories and maybe introduce another generation to some cool stuff.

Looking forward to the Bridger episode, hopefully they will do a Simon Kenton episode, he seems to always get left out somehow. Anyone else notice that? It’s like he constantly gets overshadowed by Daniel Boone.
@Rod Man Thank you for the heads up on this one and @cornstalk for the uTube link. I watched the # 1 John Colter last night and enjoyed it. I really liked the guns.
I don't feel the need to get wrapped around the axle on the authenticity, others might and that's OK. It's a nice distraction from all the crud that's on TV. Hopefully it will peek the ML interest in some of the young blood.
