Hello, i am new to muzzleloaders and the Indian pistols had some good reviews on YouTube. I purchased the "French "AN IX" Cavalry Pistol, 1801". However when it came the barrel was milled out on the bottom and there were gaps at the breech. Also the breech is past the pan which has me confused. I seen people mention this on forums before but what is the fix?

A new barrel is the only fix tha'ts doable & its not hard for a capable lathe opperater .
other wise go with Hawkeye's advice .

Yikes! What company did this come from? Definitely appears to just be a decorative item.
