Hello all. May I ask if members could assist me please in identifying what I have here? It’s a pair of pistols one of which is missing a brass butt part/decor, in this unusual double holster. I’m guessing perhaps North African but would be grateful of further information please. Thanking you in advance, Dan.

Hmm definitely decorated in the usual style of the Ottoman empire. I've heard that European style guns were imported (perhaps "in the white") and finished with local tastes in mind in the East. I've seen similar gold Damascening on barrels of Middle Easter/ North African origin.
You should send them to me for about 70 years to inspect them closer 😁
