I gave up on the Lyman Trade rifle but was perusing through Dixie's site and found a 54 cal Dixie Hawken by Investarms. I showed it to my wife and casually mentioned this rifle has doubled set triggers, that's what I prefer. And it's in stock for the same price. I just about took a header when she said " that's really pretty, you should buy it. I got caught up in the moment and did what any smoke pole guy would do. Did I screw up in my haste?

Investarms makes Lyman guns, so you did good. Basically, the same rifle with the dual triggers you prefer.

My investarms hawkins are about the best. I do have a CVA that cannot be beat in target shooting but harder to clean and its a .50. Yer gonna love it!

The good thing about Dixie is they back everything they sell. So when it breaks, they have you covered.
They did me good.
Also one of the coolest places to visit in the world.

I've got two, and both shoot very tight groups. My only gripe is the adjustable rear sight is a little wonky. Definitely my favorite of the production guns that I have.

i have never had a bad Investarms. I have 3-4 right now and they are superb!
only problem is they are all percussion and my current obsession, Er, that is, my current passion is flintlocks!
