I just celebrated another birthday, my 63rd, and received a little cash so I think I'll be getting another flintlock rifle soon. Probably either a small bore, .32 or .36. or a larger .54 or .58 since I have .45 and .50 caliber rifles already. I will buy either a full stock or half stock. I like half stock Hawkin styles best. I might buy a percussion rifle if a real deal pops up though. But then if
God had intended for us to shoot percussion guns there would be caps lying around on the ground.
 
With a .45 and a .50 your battery begs for a .32 or a .36. You'll find yourself shooting them much more frequently than the larger bores.
