Today I took my Navy in 36cal., after I have had it loaded since 2011 to my back yard and pulled the trigger 5 times. I have waited patiently to see if any of the loaded chambers would shoot. I only had 5 rounds loaded and I had caps put on at the same time that I loaded the chambers. It was kept in my home to use as protection had I needed it. I am so stoked! all 5 chambers shot as if I had just loaded it. Not a mis fire, not a slow reaction time, just pure push out some lead. I am so pleased. Now my Colt Walker will be next. I hope that I don't have to wait that long again to impress myself on just how lethal these great older protective devices are are. I hope that I didn't bore any of you to long. I just have never left a firearm loaded this long and had such great results! I want to wish all of my brother in arms a great day, week, month, year, and life. Take care all of my new found friends.

They put 6 holes for a reason. 6 shooters are what they were called. Not 5 shooters.
The notch between cylinders is the safety spot.
When you find out the proper way to cock it is straight up and down. (pointed up in the air).
You might really have a cow.

Disregard EVERYTHING you know about modern firearms, and research the old ways.
Most of the You Tubers have them wrong.

At age 78 and started by my Grandfather back in the early 50's some of the first pistols that I shot were his original black powder pistols. He did have have an old Colt in 32/20 that he carried for years. I remember standing next to it when he shot and I remember the lead that was shaved off and slapped me in the face. That lesson wasn't to not shoot old guns, it was to not stand next to them when someone else shoots one. What is a "tuber"?

Hes saying “you-tuber”, people on youtube.
Use of the 1st Nat'l. flag is good as it doesn't send up a 'red flag' like the battle flag does. I maintain a 1st. Nat'l on a marked Conf. grave at my local cemetery and no one bothers it. The site has one of the round, cast markers, so at one time it was perfectly acceptable to mark and note a Conf. grave, before the "great awokening" that is destroying our history.
