Howdy everyone.

Lurker residing in S. Texas here. I went to gawk and spectate at a black powder muzzleloader match at my local gun club and a friend gave me some instruction and let me shoot the match in a relay with his Lyman Great Plains .50. So now I'm hooked! I've been reading up as much as I can, and as much as work schedules allow.

Hoping to get started muzzleloading this summer!

Howdy back at ya! You are in for a bunch of fun with the muzzle loaders. Let us know how you are progressing.

It ain't hard to get hooked! Welcome! If you need any help, check out the "Using The Forum" forum - we try to keep an eye out there for you greenhorns! :hatsoff:

Welcome to the MLF and welcome to the black powder family Dave! There are lots of friendly knowlegable folks here to help us all out.

Hello again,

Well folks, maybe I can get to work on this ahead of summer. I just went to another match and my shooting buddy graciously let me use his equipment and rifle again.

Now I've got a Traditions .50 caplock Kentucky on the way as my first ever starter rifle, some pillow ticking on the way, and a bunch of other stuff. I'll post on the relevant portion of the forum when I get all the gear organized. Greatly looking forward to it! Thanks for the welcome. :hatsoff:
