Hey all, Steve here. After more years than I care to mention I am returning to muzzleloading. In the early 70s while stationed at Ft Bragg a friend introduced me to the sport and my father was doing a bit of shooting too so I dabbled in it for a bit. My shooting was replaced by other hobbies but now I am returning to shooting. I now reload and shoot 4 handguns and 2 rifle calibers. Between mine and my late fathers black powder guns I have 4 complete guns (.50 Hawkins, 1858 navy revolver, Phil Derringer and a modern, underhammer something-er-another) and 2 unfinished kits (Ky rifle and Ky pistol). My 14 year old stepson has taken a shine to the Ky Pistol and has started the build (I'm developing future muzzleloaders) Earlier I posted a question about powder and have already received a lot help in that regard. Per one of the suggestions from that question I am seeking someone in my neck of the woods for a bit of hand holding as I get started again. Anyone here located in the vicinity of western SC?

Hi K12. I'm in Columbia, SC, but if you ever care to make the trip, a small group of muzzleloaders get together the 4th Saturday of each month at the Mid Carolina Rifle Club in Gaston, sc.

Welcome to the MLF Steve! Glad you have come full circle and back to BP. Once its in your blood you never get cured of it. Glad to hear your step-son is taking up the interest also.

Hi Steve, and welcome! Glad to see you come back to shooting M/Lers and that you are passing on the hobby to your step-son.
