Ran through a box of stuff I had bought but never used I found a horn cylinder for knifes. Cut off a hunk and made a tip. It fits close enough for a card wad if I ever used them. Just thought it would be cute

It looks nice, but I wonder if the horn might crack under the pressure of ramming a boolit home.

Use a horn tip on both the rifles and smooth bore no problems, I drilled clear through the tip the size of the ram rod and left about 1/16 of a inch or so protruding beyond the tip just used a bit of gorilla glue to secure the tip been holding up for years.
