I decided to make a different color for those who prefer brighter straps. Copy of an original horn or bag strap dated from 1770 to 1800 as pictured in T.C. Albert's book "Recreating the 18th Century Hunting Pouch".
The strap measures 50” from buckle to buckle with an adjustable 13" additional strap on each end. (See photos). The woven strap is 2" wide and made from 100% cotton yarn.
Buckles are hand-forged iron by John Rader of Morning Sun Forge and measure 1 1/4" OD.
The color is green with a yellow center and yellow chain on each edge.
