Hello everyone,

I want to make a felt wad cutter from a Lee bullet sizer die but I need to cut off the guide bevel to make it cut better.

Is it possible to cut the die with a hacksaw and finish it off with a grinder?

Thank you!

Nord

Ideally if you could find someone with a lathe to turn it off would be nice, if it isn`t too hard you should be able to hacksaw it. Or just grind it if all your taking off is the bevel.

Thank you for the reply.

Well the bevel on the inside of the die is about 1/2". :hmm:

Maybe i`m crazy but i take some God awful amounts off from things with my side grinder. Try too saw it if it saws your in buisness. :)

You wouldn`t happen to have a sizer-luber and die the right size, i used to punch out cardboard wads with one of those but never tried felt

Thanks for the replies...

I think I am going to use an angle grinder and try to keep the steel cool.

Take care!

:hatsoff:
