I picked this up at a thrift store today. The barrel is 42" long and 3/8 across the flats. Appears to be 36 cal. There are nine groves in the rifling and they are somewhat shallow. There are no marks on the barrel at all.

The stock only has the barrel and ram rod inlet . With 15P wrote on it.

I have been wanting a 36cal for squirrel hunting, but I know this will be a lot of work. I bought a few cast iron pans from the guy and he pretty much gave me this barrel and stock. The barrel has light rust all over and had a dirtdobber nest in the inside of the barrel but it looks pretty good and should clean up. The wood in the stock is not anything special but that doesn't bother me much either. Any help with these parts would be appreciated. Thanks
