I have a Chamber's late ketland. The only lock Ill ever own.
Now saying that. If I ever need a part, I have to go to Jim to get them.
L&R is all over the place, you can get parts just about any where.
Still keeping my Chmabers

This is a lock possibly made after 1830 ???? , in the distant past anyway, warranted made in Birmingham uk for export ??????? Who knows. 😀😀😀😀😀 I was in an auction lot of an ancient gun making factory closing down around 1964. “warranted I gather was for export standard to the colonies “ what the engraving meant could be interesting. i I got it as a present new and unused for my .45 long rifle Not a bit of loss wax casting on it ha ha. I was looking at the chambers locks just now but I cannot see any improvements over L&R locks. I guess both are made of loss wax casting. I guess it’s buyers choice which is best.
my little probably Irish flintlock “ Brunton” with safety catch has an exceedingly well made lock never misses to spark , and ignition is instantaneous , oh so fast a lot of care went into making. I guess you need to work on any repro lock to get perfection

Been hunting for another original lock since last summer, not paying £460 fir one from a dealer. I think I’ll go for another L&R lock no reason not to. Nice people to deal with

I wish you well
