Hello, I’m returning to muzzle loading after a 20 plus year hiatus. I shot black powder with my Dad as a teenager but then got away from it with college and other interests. I’ve been getting back into it now. Since my dad passed in April, it’d be great to have a place to ask questions since I can no longer ask him. I have a CVA 32 cal percussion lock rifle he built for me and a 40 cal flintlock. I’m hoping to build a matching 40 cal flintlock pistol this winter. I’d like to learn how to cast my own lead balls too.
