After years of toying with the idea, I finally built a Traditions St. Louis Hawken kit. What a rewarding experience! Working evenings and weekends on the project as time allowed, it took me about two months, and I ended-up with a rifle that may one day be an heirloom for my grandchildren to shoot, hunt with and enjoy as much as I am. I look forward to learning more about muzzle loader shooting, and the myriad activities surrounding it.
