newbie to flintlock guns I am looking to buy my first historical rifle and learn to shoot it with my son Im reading a few books now on how Kentucky and Pennsylvania guns came about and I sure could use some help I posted in the flintlock forum on a gun titled "

1773 Belgian Flintlock Regiment marked ???"​

I sure could use some help after reading a bit I am now thinking the gun I posted could be German ,Belgian , English, Khyber pass fake out and I have no idea why this is in bold large letters so please excuse my newbie ignorance​

One more Howdy from North Texas and welcome to the forum. I'm born and bred on the Muddy Red.
I picked over Track of the Wolf's catalog and decided what type early flintlock to build. They have many representations of early guns, but no one agrees 100%. That's what makes the Mare kick.
