There was a comment earlier in the thread about registering as a visitor, to stay past 4pm. ??
Everyone that is not a Vendor, Camper, Seminar speaker, or volunteer will be leaving after 4pm on Friday and Sunday, and 5pm on Saturday. There is no registration for Visitors to stay late.

Yes, but here's the rub on that one you have to register as a visitor to be able to stay in camp past 4:00 PM. I really find it kinda' nice that the camp will be closed to outsiders at that time. I've been to many rendezvous were people just wander into camp at all hours of the night drunk and loud.
Just to clarify..Visitors do not Register. Only Living Historians that are camping, vendors, seminar speakers and vokunteers must register and may stay past the public hours.

you're a busy man, I'm retired and sit in my shop most of the day making things. I have a 40" monitor on my computer that I can see across the room and a wireless keyboard that goes where ever I'm at in the shop.

I’m retired too, and the Hawken Classic event is nearly a full time job. At least this type of work is fun! Hopefully the event will be a huge success and will have a great turnout!

While I was at the Alabama-Kentucky show this week I picked up the flyer for The Hawken Classic and found a very interesting note in it. Below is on the last page of the flyer:

Note: Vendors may NOT sell fully assembled guns on the St. Charles County property.

What kind of a deal are they having? Sure going to be a crimp on the vendors.

For a gun maker that is a PITA, but it seems there is a lot of rendezvous doing that currently. You just need to remove the lock to be in compliance with that rule.

No one has signed up to do so…
Pretty sure they’d need proper storage (magazine).
Thanks! I didn't think it would be likely, especially with the rule about selling "fully assembled guns," but it didn't hurt to ask. It would be great if somebody could sell it there, however, even if only to registered participants in the shooting competitions.

Much obliged,

Notchy Bob

Took this photo at Friendship this past September - both Art Ressel And Greg Roberts past and current Hawken Shop owners will be in attendance.
They’ll be sharing their story as well as Hawken History. Together they have kept the original Hawken Shop tooling in use..
Can’t imagine anyone knowing more about Hawken rifles and history, that these two.
