I've got one, the last AMERICAN made Hatfield.
USA curly maple stock, L&R lock, set triggers, Pedersoli barrel.
In this thin wrist gun with long barrel, loads are light letting the barrel do it's thing at 39"..... so the 1in48 twist is better then 1in72....plus, with button rifling instead of deep cut rifling, it shoots a ball-et very very well....

Isn't it just a Pedersoli Frontier Rifle? Hatfield was a company name. They styled their rifle as a tribute to the Hatfield and McCoy feud, IIRC.

Not quite. Different wood and lock big-time.
Pedersoli probably bought the gun rights and made the Hatfield awhile then named it frontier and discontinued the Hatfield. Can find it online.

The Pedersoli looks like a Pedersoli........lololol
No joke...pin location in lockplate are different. Easy to see difference in Pedersoli lock and L&R.
Wood isnt curly maple
Wood stock behind cock has been shaved down
Pedrosoli used a brass nose cone

The Hatfield that I recently parted with was made by the Hatfield descendant Joe Hatfield of Missouri. It had iron furniture with no nose cone, very fancy curly maple stock, and L&R lock. Only reason I let her go was due to the caliber being 32. With that small of caliber the dang thing was to heavy for my 72 year old arms to handle. The 50 cal barrel should be somewhat lighter than the one I had I would think, plus I could use it for hunting deer. The rifle Frank has listed here looks pretty sweet to me and I am considering it. But I haven't seen the Pedersole version up close and personal, so I am wondering if the quality is on par to the one I had before. Is the Pedersole lock that much different than the L&R?

Ive been down with flu past 3 days and have had time to think about hatfield sale.

Ive decided i will not not sell it where shipment is required, its too much of a hassle to insure breakage with packaging, and then to get it to owners.

Sorry about this but will have to only entertain idaho sale at this time.
