Halfstock NW Trade Gun?

I just noticed this on a local sales site. Interesting since I'd never heard of halfstock NW trade guns. Looks like a really nice piece. I had it in my mind that I've bought enough muzzleloaders for a while so this ad needs to go away soon.

Not aware of any original half stock trade guns. But might be worth taking a look at.

Yep, kinda a head scratcher. Supposedly built by "Doc" White. Now I did learn, in the 1975 GRRW catalog, they sold a half stock fowler, and a trade gun...I have read that Mr White would build odd things just to do it.

I will start a new thread on it in the next day or so, with pics.

You know, I thought I’d seen one half stock before. I looked through my trade gun books last night but didn’t see one. Must have missed it.
