Now that is really nice. Great job.
Thanks. I'm hoping the dye will lighten up. It should. Came out a tad darker than I planed but if not that's ok. Learned one lesson. Make the brim flange dia a bit bigger because when you make the stitching holes it's near impossible to get the hole to hole symmetry righ on. It tightened up after sewing the top band on. Had to restitch it 3 times to get the stitching looser so it wouldn't shrink the brim. Even with that I had to make a stretcher and then wear it wet over several days to get it right. Next one will be better. 45^ bevel on the inside edge of brim flange a must too.
Next project a fur mountain man hat.
