Looks like that mortar is going to be pretty sweet. I like your use of grid paper which reminds me that I need to get some more. :thumbsup:

The grid paper helps. I'm not much of a draftsman.
scale on that page is 4 squares to the inch.

F&I time period. I'm thinking. Cutting the bore was a long day. Here is how she stands now. The front is turned so I flipped it around and now I can turn the back half.

Brass is such a pleasure to work with. The small mortars don’t take long to make once you get going.

How are you retaining the trunnion?

The trunnion is one piece and I bored through the breech end then put a brass set screw through the back.
