Pilgrim checking in from Colorado (Front Range). Been away from the frontstuffers a long time, been making my living in the modern firearms world but drawn back to the white smokers!
I appreciate the artform of a finely crafted rifle, culmination of the rifle builders art IMO.
Built my first rifle at 13 yo many moons ago as a Freshman in high school, Industrial Arts project .
It was a Sharon Trade Rifle, still wish I had it-a former room mate decided he needed it worse than me.
Looking forward to building and shooting a couple more, just picked up an unfired Lyman Trade Rifle (Flinter) from a pawn shop for $200.00, gonna refine the stock a bit, strip the blue off of the barrel and try to get it a bit more of that "Old timey" feel.
