I've spent the last 14 years doing western mountain man rendezvous but have always wanted to do more Eastern longhunter reenacting. This forum is a goldmine for me and I hope to make a few helpful suggestions of my own.

Mrs tac and I have spent many good times in an around Astoria (great chocolatiers and special wine makers, I'm told), as well as visiting Fort Clatsop - before and after reconstruction. A highlight of any visit for us is crossing the Astoria-Megler Bridge - don't laff, it's a real emotional experience for reasons I can't express. I've even flown a little plane off the column...
