Seems like I'm in the same boat as many new members, finally joining after using the site for info. Sadly I don't really have any friends or family into shooting but this forum has become an amazing source for beginner info. I'm pretty new to black powder, been shooting a Pietta 1858 for about a year and finally got out to shoot my new Lyman Trade Rifle(.50) yesterday. Pleasantly surprised with the results pretty much out of the box! Might do a range report if anybody is interested.

Thanks and excited to finally be a member!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes!
Glad to hear people are interested in a range report, I'll get it together in the next few days when I have some free time.

So where are you located ? you mention not having any shooting friends , tell us where your located and someone
here may be able to direct you to a group or club near you !
