What I meant was there are a ton of Maryland hunters across the river. But if one carries here in WV, you dare not have it on if you cross the border. We can even carry if bow hunting but can't shoot deer with the gun. We can walk in town with a hog leg strapped on. We do not need a CC permit and open carry is legal.

I don't know what restrictions are there if going to a shoot. I suppose a locked case with ammo locked away from the gun. In Ohio and WV you just put the rifle on the rack at the back window of your pickup. I have run into crazy laws like PA when the compound came out. Bows had to be unstrung at dark or in a vehicle but how do you unstring a compound? We became good friends with the PA game Warden when we pulled into the game lands. We took garbage bags and cleaned the trash up. The warden came and asked what we were doing. Told him the place was a dump and we are taking the trash home. He seen our Ohio plates and just shook his head. He never asked for our license for all the years. I leave nothing but foot prints where I go and if you do good you will have a good life.

Question from Loyalist Dave about the range facilities at Thrumont. I don't know the answer, sorry, but I am sure they have a WEB Site with full range info.
