I finally found some musket caps. No #11 caps couldn't be found but I like musket caps better anyway. Easy to handle, longer flame, and no capper needed.

So, I have the caps now and know Goex will be at Powder Inc soon. I went ahead and ordered the new Lyman GPR made by Pedersoli. It looks much closer the real gun than the old Investarms version. I know the workmanship is better. I got the .54 so I can hunt for elk in Colorado. Probably hunt for bear too to have a longer season. Deer tags are really hard to get now but i'll go for a muley too when I can get a tag.

Has anybody bought the new GPR? Tell us about it if you have.

I got one for Christmas. Have put about 30 rounds through it. It’s super accurate. The only thing I didn’t like was the plastic looking finish. So I refinished it. Looks great now.
