Norman Dixon wrote a book, published in 1971, called Georgian Pistols. It is the very best reference work on these guns, and probably one of the best arms books ever. Anyone interested in British pistols made between 1715 and 1840 should have a copy.

I checked on the current price this morning. I found only one copy for sale, and the asking price is $1999.00!! :shocked2:

So this is a pitch. If at all interested, write to the publisher (Shumwaypublisher.com) or to any gun book publisher, and let them know it is an important book that needs to be reprinted.

And yes, I already have a copy. It's them newbies, like I was once, who are going to have a hard time finding a copy.
