I want to sell a Garrett 1863 Sharps Carbine that was modified by Charlie Hahn, see: Sharps Mod , and it really shoots well. I bought this from the original owner and it's problem is that it sat in the back of his safe for quite a number of years and that had an effect on the surface as seen in the photos. Regardless of how it looks, it shoots really, I mean really, well.

It's serial number is C.21x and made in 1978.

A really neat thing about the Garrett is that, except for screws threads, any original Sharps part will fit a Garrett 1863 Sharps.

I'll be sending about 230 paper cartridges from Hahn.

Price: $1,150 shipped to your door in a carrying case.

'evening,

Garrett's are the only reproductions that actually have a workable Lawrence Pellet Primer system in the lock. Unfortunately if any of the parts are missing, they are virtually impossible to obtain, as the original Pellet Primer parts will not interchange with the Garrett pellet primer set up (I've tried).

You must have had items that were not made correctly. One of my Garrett Sharps had Lawrence Pellett Primer parts but the other 2 did not. The one I'm selling had only a couple of the Lawrence primer parts. I have found original parts and the difference between the pill pusher can be seen in the photo. The top one is original and the bottom came from S&S parts. BOTH will fit into a Garrett lock plate and I think Garrett must have made some of them like an original because mine have the grove necessary to fit the original pill pusher.

Folks.
This is an advertisement to sell Orin's Sharps carbine.

It is not a place to get into lengthy discussions about Sharps rifles and their priming systems, cartridges or anything other than buying and selling the gun.
There is a thread in the Percussion section of the forum for those discussions so please stop doing it here in this ad.
