I cast up some .620 balls for my Trade gun the other day and lacking a suitable container I resorted to a zip-lock bag. Then a few days ago I emptied a mid-sized plastic container of garlic powder while cooking. I immediately thought it would make a fine lead ball container once I removed the inner cap. I was going to wash it out but then I would have to dry it. And then it hit me, a little Garlic on the balls might be just the ticket if I have to shoot a Vampire!

I've used this empty container of garlic powder to store my moose milk lubed pillow ticking in my range box for about 2 years, and even though I cleaned it out first it still smells like garlic every time I use them. For a while my wife thought Ballistol had a garlicky smell until I pointed out what the patches were stored in! 😄

That garlic smell will alert every redcoat, Indian and critter for miles. Are you ready to take that risk? :dunno:
