For the last 20 years or so i've been using this bag I made of light canvas.

Spence

Seeing a "possibles" bag is on one shoulder I don't need another bag hanging from the other shoulder...so, I use the rear pocket in my hunting vest.....Fred

Beautiful bag I've long admired Spence. I built one myself, but it didn't turn out nearly so well.

I've had to add a little "extra" to my game carrying kit. Snowshoe hare are big enough my larger bag still holds only a couple. In years of peak abundance we get a whole lot more snowshoe hare and even ptarmigan than will fit into even a bag.

No pics, but I have a shoulder strap terminating in a bunch of looped thongs, from which I hang game by it's feet. It stays rolled up in the bottom of my game bag or haversack just in case.

Rather than carrying them in a bag, I usually just bring along a leather string. Each squirrel is tied around a back foot. I just carry the string with one hand and drop it whenever I need to shoot or take a stand. It can also be balanced out by tying squirrels to both ends and slinging the string over a shoulder.
