Ft. Seybert massacre (1758)

Does anyone know about the Ft. Seybert massacre of 1758? Located in Pendleton Co.,WVA. Is there a re-enactment each year?

My 5th. GGfather married Col.(?) Seybert's sister and during the massacre at least one daughter was kidnapped by the Indians and later escaped.

yes there is, about the same time Franklin wv has treasure mountain festival, think it was about a month ago

Yes, there is a reenactment and fort burning, we build a small fort and burn it down during the play, they have a period camp and shooting match and it does take place the same weekend in September usual the 3rd as the Treasure Mtn. fest in Franklin WV, The play is on Saturday at the Killbuck Rifle range. Anyone is welcome to attend its a good time

Is there any evidence of the original mass grave on the site. We have ancestors that were in the massacre but did not locate the stone walled mass grave when we visited the site.
