thanks for the update .if the rain stops it should go down. a lot of vendors leave after Monday, so I need to try tomorrow. chris popp.

The water has gone down. Cars are able to get to the range. Parking is up by the Rand building. The ground is soft. The woodswalk range was underwater on the far end. Still wet but starting to improve.

I’m leaving Wednesday morning, the Gentlemen camped just behind me had a rain gauge out and we got 6.5 inches here in the Primitive campground..
Hopefully the woods walk range will reopen tomorrow.

Sorry I missed seeing most of you Guys .

I wasn’t aware of the cafeteria meeting , I guess I need to check in more often.

I came home on Wednesday. 1st Sgt. and I had Beach Front Campsites last Sunday morning. See you next September, Good Lord willing. Even with the rain and high water I had a good time, and saw friends that I only get to see once a year. Leon

I had a good shoot even with the rain. We had a good turnout but the rain kept us from shooting the Sunday Woodswalk. I hope to see all of you June or September, If the creek don't rise.

David and I made it down on Saturday and shot the woods walk. Decided to use my percussion cap rifle since I did not need to represent the honorable guild of smooth bore shooters.

See you all in June!

Barry

Next June is the 20th anniversary of the Woodswalk range at Friendship. Sean Diehl and I are spearheading efforts to improve the range and make a celebration of it. So by June 2019 the range should be even better (assuming it doesn't rain another 8.5" during opening weekend).

If anyone has ideas on what new targets would be fun, durable, hit-able, and affordable, let me know. Maybe we can stretch the range to 20 targets for the 20th anniversary.

Also, the president of the NMLRA promises that Running Boar will be re-established and working by the June 2019 shoot, alongside of the Woodswalk.
